ST-TABAL99 shows high density, low porosity, inertness to chemical attack, resistance to thermal shock, high mechanical strength, extreme hardness, and resistance to wear, which is a principal raw material used in the manufacture of high alumina refractories. All grades are used in the manufacture of kiln furniture and electrical insulators. Graded products are also used in catalyst supports and in investment casting. Ground products are used in all the above as well as in plastics.
